And So It Goes

The classroom is finally packed away for the summer. We had a grand end to our year. SO many pictures...let's get right to it!
We  got to go to the Zoo! It was a perfect day..not too hot, no rain...and everyone seemed to enjoy the activities.

Lunch at the Wild Animal Show!

 Playground!

Our next experience was a visit from students at the Japanese/American Cultural Education Center. Thank you to Aiko's mom, Namiko, for arranging this very enriching exchange!

Japanese Children walk to school in bright yellow hats.

Their backpacks are very expensive but they keep them for 6 years!
We learned some Japanese words and looked at some school books.

Next the children donned the white coats of the school lunch helpers and passed out bowls and chopsticks.

And then it was time to fly back home.
Field Day!
Thank you Crystal Baker for taking my camera and getting pictures while  I was on Chalk Art duty!

So quickly it was time for Kindergarten graduation and our last day of school. Thank you to Melanie  Tinsley for helming our graduation party.

And so it goes...our year together is over. Your children  have taught me well.
Our chalk pictures may fade but our friendships and memories last always.
Thank you for this special time with your child. And my deepest thanks to all who were able to participate in class or on field trips. You truly made a difference. Happy Summer!
