And So it Goes.....

Here we are at the end of our journey. This time of year is always bittersweet for me. I look forward to catching up on rest, reading a non-professional book and tackling the gazillion chores that have been put on hold. But  that all comes at the expense of saying good bye to your lovely children. I learn from them and I hope they have learned from me. Thank you for this year with your dear ones.
SO much has transpired since our last blog in mid-May so I will be very brief and get to the pictures!
Here are our intrepid friends on the bus to see Junie B. Jones! Favorite quote in the theater..."Ms Rae, why is it so fancy?!"

When we returned, we had a little time before lunch and we needed to unwind (and Ms Rae needed a moment to stop being carsick) so we broke out the games. This one is called Othello. I highly recommend it as a great strategy game. Easy to learn. Lincoln and I played together and then Kai took over for me.

Yep...those are jacks! They boys found them in the cupboard so I showed them how to play. (PS I've still got it!)

 Magnet builders

 Dominoes

In Math, repeated addition for understanding multiplication was our focus these last few weeks.

Next came our Spring Sing!Rehearsals got us ready for the big night!

For science we did 2 STEM projects. This one was Build a Boat; work with your table team to create a boat from  a list of materials with a budget of 7.OO. The boat must float and carry weight of at least 10 pennies.

Beach Day! Fun had by all!

Here is our 2nd STEM project. Design and build the tallest tower you can with a team of 3 chosen by the STICKS OF FATE.
Use only craft sticks and cups; cups cannot touch.

 Finally ....FIELD DAY!

And that was our year. Happy Fathers Day to all who guide and love.
I will miss my happy group. Have a great time in 3rd grade! I LOVE YOU GUYS!
